Fire Doors

A fire door is one of the most important and often overlooked, fire safety products on your premises. The key to passive fire protection is to contain the fire to a particular compartment or room, giving occupants enough time to escape and the fire service enough time to enter the building and tackle the fire.

Fire doors are an integral part of this, designed to prevent the fire or smoke from spreading. However due the nature of fire doors being used in a functional way on a regular basis means they are at greater risk of damage and abuse, seriously compromising the fire protection in your building.

Fire Barriers

Fire Barrier Systems are essential to prevent the spread of fire in obscured spaces within a building. Fire Barriers provide an easy to fit solution which effectively prevents the spread of fire and smoke within concealed areas. Infinity Fire Prevention Ltd offer ventilated fire barriers suitable for a wide range of cavity sizes and structures.

Emergency Signage

All UK non-residential buildings need at least 2 or 3 fire safety signs; however, knowing which you need and where you should put them can be bewildering. Contact us for help with your building safety signage needs.

Class O Paint

Class 0 can be found in Approved Document B. This classification means you must first achieve a Class 1 finish on your walls and ceilings, as well as the appropriate results on a fire propagation test. A fire propagation test is used to test the level of heat given off a surface during a fire. This is to make sure the amount of heat given off during a fire is substantially reduced by a paint or coating.

By using our system with a fire retardant coating and a flame retardant topcoat, you can achieve both classifications. Your Building Regulations Officer can help you to understand if you need to achieve a Class 0 or 1 finish, or both. Remember, this is only a step in meeting fire regulations, but not one that should be missed.

Penetration Sealing

Fire stopping and penetration sealing will close up all those openings which may cause fire, smoke and heat to spread through the rooms of a building. Buildings must ensure that any gaps and openings are sealed to limit both lateral and vertical fire spread.
